Here we are, a week away from a special Co-ordinated Listening  
Event, No.148. This will be quite a challenge, but we like challenges,  
don't we?
It's a 'Normal non-DGPS' CLE:
 
Days: Friday 28 Oct. - Monday 31 Oct.
Times: Start and end at midday, your LOCAL time
Range: 270.0 - 319.9 kHz (but NOT DGPS beacons)
 
An unusually wide frequency range and - yes - it does include most of
the DGPS frequencies but we are listening only for 'NORMAL' NDBs
(We'll have our sixth DGPS CLE before too long).
 
Please log the non-DGPS NDBs that you can identify in the range, plus any
UNIDs there. It is nearly 4 YEARS since we last did this back in CLE101!
It then attracted 45 listeners - there had been more than 45 listeners in
only 4 of the previous 100 Events.
We shall all have at least one end of the range for some comfortable
listening, but the main challenge will be to find the Morse signals among
all those DGPS noises. REU and RNA each show that about 190 normal
NDBs have been reported in the range this year and there are several
'down under' as well.
 
Please look out for the 'Final Details', which as usual will follow about
two days before the start.

Most of the average statistics show a small fall, though the sum of
everyone's most DX loggings was a little higher.
Statistics are also shown for the other 12 listeners.
