NAVTEX Coordinated Listening Event, "NAVTEX-CLE001". June 8th - 9th 2022. #navtex-cle001 From: Cormac, EI4HQ Hi All, A save the date announcement for the first in a new "Coordinated Listening Event" series for Navtex signals. Navtex-CLE001 will take place as follows: Days: Wednesday 8th June -Thursday 9th June Times: Start and End at midday your LOCAL time Navtex Frequency: 518kHz only Please log all the Navtex stations that you can on 518kHz, plus flag any UNIDs that you come across that you can't positively identify. For this first Navtex-CLE event, please provide one report per station. Submitted logs in the usual formats please and must include at a minimum the date, time, frequency and Navtex station ID (e.g. $01A). All further logging information is optional and must come after these 4 required fields. Please use the email tag #navtex-cle001 in the subject line of all emails associated with this event to help the organiser keep track of everything. All submitted logs will be uploaded to the RWW database and a summary analysis of submitted logs will be provided after the event Listeners who are located close to less often logged Navtex Navaeas are particularly encouraged to participate; these areas are Africa, the Middle East, India, Asia, the Pacific, Central America and South America. Final Details on Navtex-CLE001 will follow with full advice about two days before the start. FYI: A mid-week slot and the specific date has been chosen to avoid clashing with other weekend radio activities including the ongoing NDB CLE events and because the logging workload for Navtex is less than other modes making it feasible to run a CLE mid-week. This first Navtex CLE and the series proposed, is unashamedly based on the long-running, very successful and very well organised NDB CLE events overseen so ably by Brian Keyte et al. I only hope this effort will turn out as successful. This first Navtex CLE is also intentionally being kept simple to help the novice organiser to figure out a system for managing such events and the associated logs. Any questions, comments or suggestions, please just drop me a line. Warm Regards, Cormac, EI4HQ Navtex & DGPS RWW Editor YAND_STATIONS database maintainer Navtex-CLE001 organiser
