A save the date announcement for the second in the new Navtex Coordinated Listening Event series. "NLE002" will take place as follows:
 
             Days: Wednesday 17th August  to Thursday 18th August 2022.
             Times: Start and end at midday your LOCAL time.
Navtex Frequencies: 490kHz and/or 518kHz.
 
        Please log all the Navtex stations that you can on 490kHz and/or 518kHz. You can submit a log for either 490kHz or 518kHz, or both 490kHz and 518kHz as you prefer/are able.
        For each frequency, please provide one report per station over the 24 hour period.
        Submitted logs in the usual formats please and must include at a minimum the date, time, frequency and Navtex station ID (e.g. $01A). All further logging information is optional and must come after these 4 required fields.
        You may flag any UNIDs that you come across that you can't positively identify and would like help to figure out. For all such UNIDs, please include them after the end of the log and include the received message text for each UNID.
        Please use the email tag #nle002 in the subject line of all emails associated with this event to help the organiser keep track of everything.
        All submitted logs will be uploaded to the RWW database and a summary analysis of submitted logs will be provided after the event
 
 
Listeners who are located close to less often logged Navtex Navareas are particularly encouraged to participate; these areas are Africa, the Middle East, India, Asia, the Pacific, Central America and South America.
 
Final Details on NLE002 will follow on the weekend before the start. This information will include links to up to date Navtex station data files for the YAND Navtex decoding & logging software and other useful data files & information to support enjoyable listening and accurate Navtex station logging.
 
 
FYI:
A mid-week slot and the specific date has been chosen to avoid clashing with other weekend radio activities including the ongoing NDB CLE events and because the logging workload for Navtex is less than other modes making it feasible to run a CLE mid-week.
 
This new series of Navtex coordinated listening events is unashamedly based on the long-running, very successful and very well organised NDB CLE events overseen so ably by Brian Keyte and Joachim Rabe et al.
