Hi all

For our 212th Co-ordinated Listening Event, coming in a few days, we can
expect very good propagation, but it will also be a bit of a challenge.

Days: Friday 28 October - Monday 31 October

Times: Start and end at midday, your LOCAL time
Range: 270.0 - 319.9 kHz (NOT DGPS beacons)

Yes - it does include most of the DGPS frequencies, but it is 50 kHz wide,
about three times more than usual. We shall be listening only for the
'NORMAL' NDBs.
We last searched for NDBs on these frequencies in CLE195 in June 2015.

We shall all have at least one end of the range for some comfortable
listening, but the main challenge will be to find the Morse signals among
those DGPS noises. REU and RNA show that, in the last 12 months,
about 250 and 175 normal NDBs have been reported in the range from
Europe and North America respectively.
There are several to be heard by our members 'down under' as well.

Please look out for the 'Final Details', which as usual will follow about
two days before the start.

Our 212th Co-ordinated Listening Event took place last weekend.
50 of us listened for NDBs in the range 270.0-319.9 kHz.

Sixteen of the 24 listeners also took part in CLE195 in June 2015 when
we used the same frequency range. You will find the table comparing
the average statistics THEN and NOW at the end of the Excel tables.
The average results were all higher this time, consistent with the
different time of year.
Results are also shown there for the other eight listeners.

I hope the Rest of the World results will be ready later today, then a few
co-ordinator's comments in a day or so.
