Hello,
I posted a program called PerCat in the files section. PerCat is a very basic Windows console application that will find all Perseus wave files in the current directory, and create a spreadsheet catalog of the file parameters.
The following data items are contained in the catalog:
File name
Center frequency (MHz)
Bandwidth (kHz)
Lower frequency (MHz)
Upper frequency (MHz)
Start date (UTC)
Start time (UTC)
Duration (mm:ss.s)
Pre-amp (ON/OFF)
Attenuation (dB)
Pre-selector (ON/OFF)
Dither (ON/OFF)
Sampe Rate (Hz)
File Size (MB)
Bits per Sample
To use PerCat, copy the file PerCat.exe to the directory you want to catalog. Double click PerCat.exe, and specify an output file name for the catalog. The program will find all of the Persues wave files in that directory, and output a catalog to the specified file, in comma-separated value (CSV) format. When it's done, the program will report the total number of files found, and pressing any key will close the console window.
Use Excel or a similar program to open the CSV file to read the catalog. You can also examine the catalog using Notepad or other word processing programs, and in fact some of the entries (such as the duration of the recording) are displayed to greater accuracy than is supported by Excel.
PerCat will only catalog Perseus wave files. It ignores other wave files that were not created with Perseus, including regular audio wave files and I/Q files made with other SDR systems.
