Here is your early advice of our next co-ordinated listening event - after
several 'specials', we are back to a normal event looking for all the NDBs
in a narrow frequency range. All regulars, occasionals and beginners are
very welcome to join in.
 
Days: Friday 29th Jan - Monday 1st Feb
Times: Start and end at midday your LOCAL time
Range: 400 - 419.9 kHz
 
Just log all NDBs you can identify that are listed in the range (it includes
400 but not 420 kHz) plus any UNIDs that you come across there.
 
We last had a close look at this frequency range in CLE109 (Sep 2008).
51 of us took part then. It will be interesting to see how our THEN / NOW
results compare.
 
As usual, I'll send the final details a few days before the start.

(If I don't have an accurate Lat./Long. for some listeners, their
distances above may be a few km in error. Also, a few NDB
locations are not known with high accuracy.)
 
We were listening for similar targets in September 2008. You will find the
table comparing statistics THEN and NOW at the end of the Excel tables.
The average results for the 19 listeners who took part in both events show
a big improvement.
 
I hope to complete the Rest of the World results later today.
 
Our results are so impressive that I think some 'Co-ordinator's Comments'
will be in order in a day or two, unusual for a 'normal' CLE.
