Hi all,
Our 119th co-ordinated listening event starts this Friday at midday.
Let's hope for some good conditions, comfortable listening and
opportunities to catch some nice DX.
Days: Friday 24th July - Monday 27th July
Times: Midday - Midday, your local time
Frequencies:
NDBs from 150 - 239.9 kHz
PLUS Normal NDBs on 'half-way' frequencies (nnn.5 kHz)
So it is a CLE in two parts - the first part is hunting for the NDBs whose
published frequencies are lower than 240 kHz, such as 220 BX (Quebec).
The second part is hunting for the NDBs whose published carrier frequencies
are 'half-way', such as 276.5 BW, 370.5 LB, 381.5 SJX (in Michigan),
400.5 COD, etc. 'Normal' NDBs - no DGPS, please.
(Europe listeners won't hear many from part 1 and listeners away from
Europe won't hear many from part 2, but everyone will have both parts
to go at throughout the weekend.)
Please send your CLE log to the List, if possible as a plain text email and
not in an attachment, showing 'CLE119' at the start of its title. If you
get loggings from both parts you can show them together in the same list
if you wish.
Please include on EVERY line of your log:
# The date or day number and UTC (the day changes at 00:00 UTC).
# kHz - the beacon's nominal published frequency.
# The Call Ident.
Please show those main items FIRST, with any other optional details
such as Location and Distance LATER in the same line.
Don't forget to give your location and brief details of your receiver and
aerial(s) - others will be interested to know, especially newer members
(and old members with memories like mine!).
Listening on the 'half-way' frequencies means that we might also catch some
interesting non-CLE beacons - do please tell us about those too, but in a
SEPARATE list. If any of them are UNIDs whose carriers seem to be on
'half-way' frequencies, include them in the main list, of course.
I will send the usual 'Any More Logs?' email at about 17:00 UTC on Tuesday
so that you can check that your log has been found OK. Do make sure that
your log has arrived at the very latest by 08:00 UTC on Wednesday 29th
July. Your loggings will be included in the combined results, which should
all be completed on that day.
CLE Seeklists? Martin has provided lists for both parts on Rxx, found via
the CLE page which is reached from
http://www.beaconworld.org.uk/info.htm Select 'CLE' in Martin's top menu.
Good listening
Brian

Lista liitteenä. Jätin siitä tarkoituksella ensimmäisen taajuuskaistan pois. Täytynee kokeilla josko edes jotain tänä iltana kuuluisi
