Hi all,

Coming soon is our 123rd co-ordinated listening event
and here is my slightly early 'Early Advice'.
First-time CLE logs will be very welcome.

Days: Friday 23rd - Monday 26th October
Times: Start and end at midday LOCAL TIME
Range: 370 - 384.9 kHz

For most of us, the recent CLE involved searching for signals in some
wide open spaces. By contrast, this CLE uses a very small frequency
range, only 15 kHz wide, but it is packed with lots of signals and it is
surprising how many NDBs can be heard by some careful listening at
a few different times of day and night.

We last used this range for CLE104 in April 2008.

Just log all the NDBs that you can identify that are listed in the range
(it includes 370 kHz, but not 385 kHz) plus any UNIDs that you come
across there.

Please look out for the final details a few days before the start.

We were listening on the same frequencies in April 2008. You will find the
table comparing statistics THEN and NOW at the end of the Excel tables.
Just as for the Rest of the World, the overall statistics show much better
conditions this time, mostly due to the different time of year.
The NOW statistics for the listeners who did not take part last time are
also shown.
