Still on air (1923z). At 520.403 with a fair signal and 1 in 7".
I have never seen it before. LSB surely covered by NAVTEX.

Hearing CSO-520 here, on 519.600 / 520.400 with 2s gaps. Signal rather prone
to deep fading at present 2000 utc. Can't get a decent bearing at this time.
Will keep a watch on channel.

UNID CSO-520 is audible here as well at 21:10 UTC
It suffers from fading quite a bit, so I think is not very close.
My guess is around 800 - 1000 km

It certainly is coming from the north.
My "static fighter" is on and eliminates the static from the south.
Maybe I can make a bearing when the static is a bit less.
It is very bad tonight.

CSO-520 – the loop seems to indicate the nulls are around NW/SE roughly so best direction seems NE/SW

But fading doesn’t help the check too much. Certainly don’t think it will be a daytimer here – will check tomorrow.

Fairly good signal at 2127utc.

Very good signal indeed this morning, bearing between 300° and 330° on
520.400 kHz (offshore North of Scottland ?).

Anyway a new one for me !
Happy listening

I got the best signal with my ALA1530 in 330 deg position. The signal
was fair when I checked it at 1923. It decreased rapidly. Offshore?

I too heard CSO last night, stronger on -400, but it didn't last for a long time. Did some googling on CSO and found these links that may be worth looking at, maybe one of them have a beacon with the id CSO.

I found the company behind it but no ndb's...

www.technip.com/english/index.html  then go to publications were a list of their ships can be found with brochures (pdf)

Ship                        Callsign           Helipad       Type
Alliance        C6LC9       Yes    diving support
